Electroacupuncture works by needles being inserted into specific areas of the body, unlike traditional acupuncture where the needles are often retained on their own, electroacupuncture uses a device that generates a continuous electric pulses using small clips attached to the needles to pass the impulse from one needle to another.
Electroacupuncture can be fundamental to helping treat musculoskeletal problems, by increasing blood flow and decreasing inflammation. Anna often uses electroacupuncture on complex musculoskeletal conditions where traditional acupuncture and other therapies have not been successful.
Electroacupuncture is also used in fertility treatment to help increase blood flow to the uterus to optimise the endometrium and helping to increase Antral Follicle count, more information can be found on this under ‘Fertility Acupuncture.’
